So this is my About Me page. I’m apparently supposed to have one; at least that’s what all the real bloggers have.
Let’s see then: I’m well educated (I have an undergraduate degree and a post graduate degree), and I am neither working in my fields of study nor do I have any desire to. It’s complicated. Honestly, I love my current job, which is in the Public Service, and is important and helpful. I am also a full-time mother to my 3-year-old “alphabet soup of issues” boy – for internet safety’s sake, I’ll call him Grunt.
Besides being a mommy, I’m the survivor of a pedestrian vs motor vehicle accident. I was the pedestrian. The motor vehicle was an armoured van. You can read all about it here. As a lifestyle, I can’t really recommend it.
What I can recommend is falling in love with the partner of your dreams and getting married in a giant shindig of nerdy awesomeness. MiniSir and I said the vows to seal the deal in September 2012. It also sealed my place in the military community – I am a proud Canadian Forces spouse, and volunteer regularly with the spouses of my husband’s Regiment. My husband is an officer in the Armoured Corps (no relation to the armoured van that ran me down).
I have an amazing life. I’ve experienced so much pain, physically and emotionally, as well as the joy, and somehow, I can’t help but tell people about it. All of it.
So. This is my story.
